The discovery of The Magnetrine Effect has had a serious effect on global shipping and travel in the northern hemisphere, AI driven robotics are on the verge of becoming a functional, profitable technology, and the world has two huge, functioning Particle Accelerators, commonly referred to as LOOPs. And those are just the things everyone knows about.
That said, all you know is that, for as exciting as the news claims these things to be, life is pretty boring as a kid in your hometown of Russelville. You still have homework to do, bullies to avoid, family drama to navigate, and friends to look after. Things don't get any simpler when a rash of strange events strike your hometown. And, when these events start to hit close too home, it falls to you to look into what the grown-ups are too stubborn to see.
