Shadowrun is a science fantasy tabletop role-playing game set in a near-future fictional universe in which cybernetics, magic and fantasy creatures co-exist. It combines genres of cyberpunk, urban fantasy and crime, with occasional elements of conspiracy fiction, horror and detective fiction.
This event is a combination of two concurrent sessions that serve as an introduction to Shadowrun 5th Edition. Into the Shadows focuses on creating characters for Shadowrun Missions, the Official 'Living Campaign' of Shadowrun; while The First Taste is an off-the-cuff session designed to get those characters into the game and to get the players familiar with the mechanics.
The event will be GMed by Catalyst Demo Agent and Shadowrun Missions writer Danny Oliver. Everything necessary to play will be provided. Characters created and played at this event will be eligible for official Shadowrun Missions play at other conventions and locations.
