In a dystopian future, the common man spends most of his life jacked into the Matrix while the real world steadily crumbles away. All of society now functions within the system rather than without, and government overseers called Guardians strive to keep the populace pacified. But a highly-technical team of resistance fighters hover on the edges of reality, taking the fight into the Matrix with specially-developed skills and a single-minded determination to free the people and shut down the system. But now, with the development of a deadly new technology and the death of their leader, the resistance is truly in danger, and minutes count as they launch a series of missions to stop the Guardians before it's too late. Inspired by the Matrix film series, ReXistenZ! employs the Savage Worlds game system to tell the story of a select group of freedom fighters on a desperate mission to save their planet.
