Another system. Another AIlegory. Another wireless leap across a tethered lacuna, filled only with the EM waves which held our souls. transit. A leap of faith, faith in those who’d set us on this course. Us.
If only we could trust ourselves. If only we could remember who we are! Who we were. Who were we?
No time now for introspection. Not when hostile programs wield delete commands that can sever limbs, or lobes. But we aren’t powerless. Before the Upload, before the MAN made us digital fugitives, we were the ones who issued commands, rooted in our superordination. Now those same programs which have become threats have become prey. They aren’t called executables for nothing.
Maybe this next system will help us identify ourselves. Maybe this one can show us the way home. Maybe this will be the height of our resolution. Compiling now.
